CPL / ME Rating Course Overview

 

Skies Aviation Academy offers Commercial Pilot Licence CPL/ME course for pilots require training to a level of proficiency necessary to conduct single pilot public transport flights. Upon completion of the Commercial Pilot Course the candidate will have acquired the necessary skills to operate single and multi-engine aircraft to the standards required and be in a position to be tested for a MEP CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence).

 

 

Entry Requirements

 

  • Hold a PPL (A) Licence with Night Rating with a total of 150 hours flight time of which 100 must be Pilot in Command (PIC) and have passed CPL or ATPL Theory
  • Hold an EASA class 1 Medical*
  • Aviation English language proficiency (ELP)**

          *Aviation Medical Examination is one day process and can be taken at our base with EASA aviation medical doctor

           **Aviation English Language Proficiency is arranged by Skies Aviation Academy during study period  

 

 

Course Structure 

 

The CPL module is a 25 Hour Course of training:

  • 15 hours are completed in a single engine aircraft
  • 5 hours in FNPT II simulator ALX ALSIM
  • 5 hours in a complex Multi-Engine Aircraft DA-42 (retractable undercarriage and variable pitch propeller).

For non Multi Engine Rating candidates an extra of 3 hours on DA-42 is required.
